The Latest

Today I heard back from the hospital's office. We are still working out details but no date set yet - really glad to talk to a person today not just leave a voice mail. When I was getting discouraged that the time is dragging on someone reminded me that God's timing is perfect. I keep forgetting He is in charge of all this. Thanks for the reminders of His love and care. We'll let you know more first of next week (hopefully)

Tracy,
You are right, God's timing is perfect, even when it doesn't seem so to us. When your faith, whatever size it is, is in Him, He will see you through. We returned from Ukraine on February 4 with our three new children, Igor age 17, Yulia age 17 and Masha age 16. We were there for two months and often started to question why it was taking so long. We had friends who completed their adoption process in one month. We know that God has His reasons which we may never understand. This journey was a huge lesson in trusting God. In every meeting, every government appointment, the conversations were in Russian and we had no idea what was going on. Trust, and a lot of prayer, was our only option. We now begin forming family bonds at home in Omaha.

Since the beginning of this adoption process we have held on to Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We know that He holds you in his hands. He knows the future and the plans He has for you.

You are in our prayers. God bless.

Tracy, I just want you to know that you are so often in my thoughts and prayers. I think of you each morning as I drive out of our sub-division. You know how we often pass each other on our morning rounds? I am praying for your peace and for the team of doctor's skill (we already know they are well qualified). I'm praying that this will turn out better than anyone could have imagined. I am praying for you.

Tracy, Terry and I have been praying for you. As I was reading the Scripture this morning, I read this passage and I thought of you.
"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17 Isn't that comforting? He sings over us! I'm so glad you have this blog to keep us informed. Much love to all of you, Virginia

Dear Tracy,
The last time I saw you was in a picture of you and your brothers when you all were little.
Your situation today brings back some memories for me. I had thyroid cancer a few years ago, and this was the second time in my life that the reality of how temporary this life can be. I had to depend upon God for my comfort through whatever He had in store. Through prayer I found a certain excitement and deep hope at the possibility of going "home". And joy spread through me because I knew I was a child of God and I knew that He had the best in store for me and my family no matter what happened. My clinging to this life shifted to clinging to Him and that's when peace filled me completely and only then was I able to sit back and watch the Lord take over.
God bless you Tracy, we continue to pray for you and your family.
In Christ's love,
